jumping from middle of playlist to first track?

Hiyas,

First post here; great site! =)

I'm looking to get the Mini or the Shuffle; need a few questions answered:

1. For iPod Shuffle and Mini, can you jump from middle of a playlist to the beginning EASILY? (say, #152 to #1, without having to click through the whole playlist?)

2. Shuffle: will the songs be erased if the battery is dead? (that being a flash-based)

1. The mini has the click wheel so you can "spin" through the playlist pretty quick. Not sure how it's done on the shuffle.

2. No. Flash memory does not rely on the battery. Just like USB flash drives don't loose their files when you unplug them from a computer.
