Plastic food wrap for protection

I have been a "lurker" for some time and recently replace my old 3g w/ a new photo.
Rather than buy a case that will not dock. I have been using "saran wrap" to protect my ipod. All functions work and when it gets beat-up I simply wrap it up again.
Has anyone done this? What are your opinions besides "ugly"!

I've done this before. Worked quite well, in my opinion...in fact I STILL use it in conjunction with my Contour Showcase. Great, easy, and cheap way to protect the iPod.

This has been posted before. I think you could make it look un ugly if you wrapped it right.
