is it just me, or does the ipod suck at sorting albums?

before transfering any album onto my album, I rename it to something like "GD - Warning" so I know who the artist is

I have a series of green day albums, so on the album list it should look like:

GD - Nimrod
GD - Shenanigans
GD - Warning

but instead, it looks like:

GD - Nimrod
GD - Shenanigans
Gdsmk - Godsmack (gdsmk = godsmack)
GD - Warning

the same thing happens with my RHCP (red hot chili peppers) albums; they interupt my radiohead (RH) albums

does anyone else have this problem?

Why don't you just have the album name. Surely blood sugar sex magik is not going to be ok computer is it?

I prefer having the initials out front because it groups artists and albums on the same list. I like it better than doing just album or artist -> album

Wait, when you browse by Album, it lists the Artist your browsing under at the top--albeit it's abbreviated somewhat.

Do you really not remember what Artist you just clicked into?

the main reason I do it is because it sorts by artist and album at the same time
