Ipod Directory Pops Up at Startup

Everytime I connect my ipod to the firewire, it takes about 10 seconds for my comp to recognize it and then the ipod directory pops up (Calendars, contacts and notes).

Is there anyway to stop it from doing this?

P.S. I'm on XP and have a 30gb pod.

This happens to me periodically. Very strange how sometimes it happens and other times not.

Try right-clicking on the iPod in My Computer, select Properties and make sure that on the AutoPlay tab "Take No Action" is set on all file types.
