What is the secret to the Contour Showcase clip?

I received my new Contour Showcase today, and it works perfectly with my 20GB 4G iPod with the wheel cover and insert. My question--what is the secret to opening the clip to actually clip it to something? I searched the forums but didn't see this posted anywhere.

I think you just kinda slide it onto what you're trying to clip it onto... I do'nt think it actually "opens".
