Does anyone know if VIA firewire cards work well with iPods?

YES!!!! I have a generic brand firewire card with a VIA chipset and it works perfectly, in XP it installs without a driver. Another plus, it was cheap at newegg.com. I would check them out if you haven't bought a card yet. I got mine for $18 shipped and I am always satisfied with doing business with them (not affiliated in any way, just a happy customer).
