anyone ever use this. i dont have an ipod yet but i go here to download music for my computer.

Never admit to downloading music here. This isn't a "file sharing friendly" board.
Just a tip. ;)
P.S. - As for winmx, not one of the better ones available. But I would stay away from them all since the RIAA is on the prowl. Hold out for ITunes on Thursday!!

Kazaa used to be good but now there're so many fakes I never use it anymore. So now instead of downloading 1 song I like from kazaa I have to download the entire album from irc.

yes, WinMX is just running... but I only download songs of which I own the album actually, because I don't want to rip them by myself ;)

PS: What I like with WinMX: You get a whole lot of Finnish songs there... And my favourites are Apulanta and Don Huonot... but for buying an album, I have to go to SF everytime... thats >2000km...

It doesn't matter if it's winmx or kazaa...any p2p is 'bad'. ;o)
I did use winmx. Liked it, never had any trouble,rarely got fake/mislabled files,maybe 2 time if that.
It was the 1st one I tried and since it worked i never tried any other. But I don't fileshare anymore. Twiddle my thumbs til itunes comes out.

1. I like WinMX it is great to find hard to find tunes for me and yes I share but only a little. Hey if I have something and you have something let talk. This is not about money but the common thread between fan of that type of music.
2. RIAA is just ratb**tards trying to keep people from helping other and sharing the glory of the music. All they want is for you to get the music they want you to get by legal means but hey if you give me permisson to copy a file from you computer then hey we are friends. No matter is it is a ripped track from a cd you own or you yourself copy I still need your permisson to make that copy. One thing people forget is that to can decide which files you want to share and if you do that is your business not the RIAA.

Winmx used to be great , now its gone downhill. Mainly due to the lack of users.

Well most P2P programs are suffer from the lack of user at this point but it a day by day thing I have notices on winmx. Someday it is choice & other is just bad plus depending on the type of connections online at the time(56k and below are just to slow).
