OK.

My computer specs:
433 Mhz Celeron
4GB HDD
64MB RAM
USB 1.1
Firewire Card

I have just bought a 60GB iPod photo, and I am having trouble getting it to work on my computer. I realise my computer is very poor but it is all I have. I am wondering that because my computer is formatted as FAT32, I need to reformat it to NTFS so I can format the iPod to NTFS? Is there any help anyone can give me?

The iPod is to be formatted to FAT32 not NTFS and you need to use the 'updater only' to format the iPod. You didn't post your OS.
