Vaja case w/wheel protector

Just got my Vaja Case with wheel protector--and just as I feared--the protector makes it much harder to move up and down the screen.

The case is absolutely beautiful and fits like a glove. Even the wheel protector looks sleek. However, looks take a back seat to functionality, and the wheel protector is not very functional.

Does anyone know if this will "loosen" up? Can the protector be taken off?

Unfortunately the protector does not loosen up much at all. I'm actually on my 4th Vaja 4G case now and ended up opting for the Classic case since the i-Vods scratch the pod quite a bit :(. As for removing it, you COULD....heh, aka press hard and it should come out but personally I'd never do it and just resell it to make up for the loses.

I must say though, it is quite nice to have that protector gone! I miss being able to actually use my iPod easily.
