Battery weirdness

Ive had it with my battery! its going crazy!
Whenever i fully charge my battery i unplug it from the charger, try to play something the message comes up "no battery power please connect to charger" then it turns off. when i try to turn it on again it turns on but theres barely any battery life in it.
aaahhhhhh!!!!!! please help

How long have you had it for?

If its still under warranty I'd send it back to Apple to get it replaced.

ive had it since july iim thinking about getting it replaced but i dont want to loose all my babies (songs)!

is there any way to upload songs from your ipod mini to your computer and save them even though you've deleted the songs from your computer but are still on your ipod?
