I don't think that itunes for windows will be out on thursday. Instead the itunes music store will offer WMA encoded songs along with a firmware update that will allow ipods to play wma.

Apple will count on ipod users being loyal and using the itms instead of the MM or some other service while also being able to sell music to non ipod users.

Having a full featured version of itunes for windows is what I would love to see but it seems like a lot to ask. Musicmatch still doesn't do a very good job of being an all in one application and it has been around a long time. MC9 is a great program but how many versions has it taken to get it to the point that it is now?

Hopefully apple will prove me wrong.

But if there's no iTunes for Windows, how do windows users access the store?

Yeah, and it's common knowledge that the iTms will be available for Windows by the end of the year. And why in the world would they sell WMA files, which were created by Windows, to Mac users? It just doesn't add up. You're wrong :D :p

I would be surprised if iTunes isn't released on Thursday.....Apple always has the tendency of announcing something and have it released immediately after the announcement....like how they released the 3rd gen iPod with iTMS right after their music event earlier this year.

Steve Jobs would be juggling snowballs through hell before he allows WMA on the iPod. :p

Considering today's tagline was "Hell Froze Over", you might want to pick a different analogy if you are trying to say it won't happen. :p

Yep he's right, and it would cost them royalties to MS, and I bet Apple don't wanna do that!
