Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Hi All,
Brand new to 'Poddy' (4 days). I am not as versed in its organizing scheme so all my songs are part of the overall library. That's OK because I listen to all. My problem: a friend gave me a couple of audiobooks for a long trip I am about to take. The books are arrangeas as sequential Track # in .mp3 format. How do I store the books so they will be a separate entity on muy iPod, and not part of my music list (which is how they get stored now and drive me crazy).
With some serious appreciation for any advice.

go to the articles page on this site, look in ipod 101/201 and there is a section on how to put on audiobooks. It is very helpful

Good article, me still lost: I converted all tracks to AAC. I wanted to consolidate them under one name, bookmarkable. I marked them all but under Advanced the 'Join CD Tracks' is still greyed out. How do I make one book file from all those tracks?

Check this out: "Markable" from ipodsoft (ipodsoft.com).

This software allows you to take books on CD and will create an audiobook file that is bookmarkable, so when you go back to the book it will restart from where you left off - unlike mp3 files. I tried it with a couple of books on cd from the library and it works great. It has a free trial for 10 days and only costs about $15. Highly recommended.
