Looks like it will only cost $80 (check on Crutchfield) and be compatible with pretty much all of Blaupunkt's headunits. However, when I checked out the pictures, I ran across the second picture on Crutchfield's site (I'd link to it, but apparently I'm not allowed to).

Now, I asked their customer service to verify and they said they couldn't, but from that pic it looks like you don't lose control on the iPod when using that adapter...maybe there is a switch to make it act like an aux-in (even there it still says iPod on the HU). I have been debating between an Aux-In connection and an interface/adapter for a while...this looks like it may be what we've all been looking for?

I have the adapter and it doesn't work properly i.e., I can't control it from my Blaupunkt Bremen and the ID3 tags don't come through. However, it does work as an Aux-In connection and charges the iPod and you can play tracks through the iPod control. Unfortunately, it also occupies the CD-Changer input so you can't have a changer and it at the same time.
