I am looking for a solution to run my ipod through my factory fitted car radio. I have a Vauxhall Meriva and it has a Vauxhall radio/cd player installed in the dash. Could anyone give me advice on how i can run my ipod through this please.

Using an FM transmitter would be the easiest method.
Check out the "accessories" section for the iTrip (and other such devices)
a) FM Transmitters are illegal in the UK
b) Quality of reception can vary from reasonable to non existent - if aerial is mounted at vehicle rear there is little or no chance you will get a decent signal.
c) If you can afford to use your CD input (basically fooling CD player into thinking iPod is a CD Multichanger) this is probably the best route to go down.
d) Using a FM Modulator may be an option - the likes of the Hebe iDrive (http://ilounge.com/index.php/news/comments/hebe-styling-announces-idrive-auto-ipod-solution/)....

So? It's certainly the simplest solution, especially if you don't want to take your car apart.

Quality can vary from excellent to nonexistant. I've never had anything but good quality out of my iTrip.

The best route if you're luckily enough to have a CD input and an easily accessible CD player.

Never used one. So can't comment. Seems a good solution though.
