Hey, I'm trying to get my brother's new 10gb iPod to work, and I've been having some problems. His computer is running Windows ME, and since you guys have helped me before, I'm hoping you can help me now.

So, we first installed everything, and when we got to the "configure your iPod now" screen, we got an error.

"Please plug in your new iPod so that it can be configured. Make sure you wait a few seconds for the iPod to be recognized by the system."

The iPod is plugged in via USB 1.1, and I've waited a few seconds for it to be "recognized", but nothing.

When I plug it in to the computer, the "do not disconnect" message appears on the iPod, so I know the iPod knows its connected. And in the system tray, the "unplug or eject new hardware" icon appears, and it shows that an iPod is connected. So I know the computer knows its connected. SO WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?!?!?!?

The iPod manager, MusicMatch, and AudibleManager are all installed, but show that no iPod is connected. I am getting very upset.

Anyway, if anyone could help me out, that would be great. Thanks,

-Mike

Me, I always recommend uninstalling iPod Manager, MMJB's iPod Plugin and Audible Manager, then running the Updater by itself and seeing how it works.
