I'm working on a custom ipod mount for my gmc jimmy. i've been revising my plans and i figured out that a great short cut would to be obtain a dock cover. then i wouldn't have to mold the hole myself.
if you have a spare cover that will hold a 40 gb ipod and are willing to part with it please pm me as soon as possible.

nevermind. since my ipod is under warranty apple helped me out with a new one.

So you just got one from Apple by saying you had one that was broken..pretty tricky, but good to hear it worked out for you.

yeah i thought it was pretty tricky too. i had read on a forum somewhere else about a guy that did that. it got here in about a day and a half too...
this works out great though because now i can intergrate the whole dock into my car mount and it will be more versitile (along without having to epoxy the sik imp into it and therefore rendering it useless for anything else like if i take it to class for a firewire port).
