Hey guys,

I own the Logitech Z-560 Speaker System. It's 4.1 and has 400W RMS power. In fact, I recognized that I use my PC only for listening to MP3-music or surfing on the net.

So I thought about replacing my PC through iPod (only for Music). My room is 4mx4m (=16m?) large (or small? :D) and ATM, the 4 speakers are placed on my desk. When I use the iPod as a music station, I could place the subwoofer below my TV and the 4 Speakers in each corner of my room.

My question: Is it ok, to use the iPod in Dock (attached to the sound system) all the time? OK, it is more in use then only hearing music when I'm outside, but when I don't attach the power supply, it won't damage the iPod Harddrive or the Battery. Or do you have any better ideas?

The main target is, that I can sell my PC and buy a notebook. The only limitation I had was sound, because Notebooks don't have very good sound cards onboard (except of USB-versions, which are to expensive).

Greetings,
