Monster iCarCharger - DISTORTION????

I just bought a Monster iCarCharger and the Monster tape deck adapter for my iPod. The charger charges fine, but if I connect the cassette adapter to the "line out" on the charger, the sound is very distorted. If I connect the cassette adapter to the head phone jack on the iPod, theres no distortion.

Anyone have this problem?

I have a similar problem with my Monster iCar Play cassette adaptor. I get a humming sound when I insert the adaptor into the cassette player. I wrote them about it, but haven't heard anything back.

I'm using the icarcharger line-out along with the Maxell CD330 $15 at Fry's) and love it. To my ear it sounds at good at my Toyota in dash 6 CD changer. I had bought the Sony CPA-9C which is highly recommended here and most places, It distorts and hisses in my Toyota stock tape/CD player. I returned the Sony and got the Maxell, problem solves and the Maxell + icarcharger sounds awesome. Try the Maxell.
