Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I don't know if small speakers (and if so which?) or what would work in the situation my friend is in. She has an iPod mini, but her Mazda Protege has special UV coating that kills any FM transmission from inside the car (my iTrip is silent in her car). In addition because she's likely not holding onto the car for much longer hardwired and its cost isn't likly an option either. So what do you guys think? PodWave speakers or something else?

And it's likely audiobooks will be used 75% of the time, so sound quality doesn't have to be great.

Thanks much.

Well... if she is using the stock stereo and it has a CD changer option, there is most likely a protege adapter that plugs into the CD changer plug int he back of the radio.

Does her radio have a input plug on the front?

Cassette adaptor?

How about a cheap pair of unpowered computer speakers? I use these all the time at work and sometimes at hoem when I am working out on the back porch. they arent the loudest but in a car they would be plently loud for audio books.

Just some ideas

Thanks alienmeatsack. Begining to think the speaker deal is going to be it. No cassette or input unfortuanately. Just have to find something reasonably small and can be hidden occasionally. Any cheap small speakers recommendations anyone?
