ok lol. seems like im having the same problem as every1 else.
folder + ! appears after the apple logo flashes up, this sticks around for a while approx 6/7 seconds and then the screen just switches off.
trouble is if i connect the ipod to my pc then the screen changes to do not disconnect and the circle with the line thru it flashes on and off. This only flashes on and off for about the time it took for the folder + ! icon to appear and dissapear (described above 6/7 seconds) from this time the circle freezes. this means the computer doesnt recognise it as a drive - just shows f:removable drive and "properties" reveals it has 0 bytes free and 0 bytes total. which i know is rubbish haha. ipod updater doesnt see the ipod, chkdsk wont recognise it, itunes thinks the ipods invisible.
I cant see a way past this - PLEASE if anyone has had this problem and has managed to fix it, whether or not they think it was flueky or wouldnt work for me, PLEASE just post any ideas.
