Synching iTunes library with your downloadfolder

Yeah, thats right.
More of a iTunes Q&A but whatteheck.

Is there any way to synchronize the libarary-playlist i iTunes with your download/mp3-folder, so that whenever you add a new file/folder it is automatically added to your library in iTunes?

A friend of mine, who uses mac, said there is a script for mac which does just that. Anyone know of anything equal available to XP?

The only thing I think you can do is just to periodically select File>Add Folder to Library and point it at your desired folder - it will scan it and only add any new files it finds.

iTunes on mac has full AppleScript support. The Windows version doesn't, unfortunately.

The "Select File -> Add Folder" trick is probably what your friend's script does, every once in a while .. automatically.
