Mac/windows Formatting Sucks! Help

Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Before I got my color i had a 2nd gen ipod and could get music off of macs and pcs both

However, now to get music off of a mac and combine it with my own (i have a pc) i compleletly have to reformat my ipod meaning i have to erase all my music i got for the mac

i have even attemepted to open it as a mass storage device and manually transfer all the mac songs to my harddrive, reformat, then reload. However, before i could even begin this it said my ipod needed to be formatted

i would appruciate any advice/help that would allow me to slove this problem and keep all my music not just windows music or mac music!!

If you have the iPod formated for Mac then you need a program like Mac opener to allow you to use it on the pc. If you format it to windows then you can use it between both with no problems at all.
