Erasing iPod??

How do you do a system restore recovery on an iPod? I would like to erase my memory and start over from scratch...my files are all screwed up and the easiest thing for me to do would be to restore this device to the way it was the other day when I removed it from it's package.

go to www.apple.com
go to support
and then download iPod Updater 2005-06-26 (28.5MB)

install and then follow the instructions on how to wipe your ipod
and install the latest firmware.

make sure that u have a power adapter before u do this.
