Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I got my first ipod in December. Had a fabulous time with it for a few months. One day the iPod died. It just died. Genius Bar guy said I killed the hard drive. I have no idea how this happened, but the only thing I could do was get a replacement iPod. So Apple replaced it with what I believe to be a refurbished machine. Had great fun with my newish iPod for about two weeks. Then the music disappeared. IT JUST DISAPPEARED! As if someone had restored all factory settings.
So, I thought if I plugged it in to my pc, iTunes would autosync and add all my music back. iTunes doesn't know my iPod exists and the latest version of iPod Updater (2005-06-26) just says iPod Service error.
What now? Any HELPFUL suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
