OK
I tried this same post in the Pioneer adapter thread, but I don't think people are checking that one anymore because of it's age and I need some help with this...
I hadn't read the thread before I bought the adaptor, it didn't get good reviews over there. But anyways, I have the 7700 Pioneer head unit and the iPod interface thing in there now. I'm not happy with the way to navigate, I was thinking with the wheel on the head unit it would work like the iPod wheel itself, instead of pushing you're way button through button, track through track. But for now, I'll live with it. I have a bunch of playlists and I am usually happy playing one of those on random or the whole music collection on random.
My problem is this. The thing is hooked up, but when I select External-iPod, it clicks over to iPod and begins playing the track (according to the ticker). I can even scroll to the functions and see the track and artist playing. Problem is = no music! The iPod seems to be communicating the info, but not the sound. The rest is hooked up right, it gets sound on every other source. Just nothing from the iPod itself. (Note: The iPod screen says: Pioneer OK to disconnect) all the time too.
The guy at circuit city said I needed to update my iPod, but that didn't do anything to change the situation. I also reset my iPod, that didn't do anything for me either.
Can anybody Help me??
