Are Music CD's being encrypted? I just bought Kanye West's, Late Registration and I couldn't get the music into my ipod mini. I even tried to download the music from limewire afterwards, but no dice. What's going on? I don't want to have to buy a portable cd player to listen to this hot @$$ album!...Need Help pleeeeze!

If the CD doesn't bear the "Compact Disc Digital Audio" logo then it is likely to be a copy controlled disc. You could try complaining to the record label - when I bought copy controlled disc here in the UK I complained to the label (EMI) and they said that the copy controlled ones were never destined for the UK market and they offered to replace it for me. But by that time I'd managed to rip it using another method. Without going into too much detail of how to circumvent copy protection I can recommend Easy CD-DA Extractor as a good program for ripping CD's (subject to all local copyright laws in your territory).
