My iPod says I have 2870 songs on it, however when I hook it up to iTunes, iTunes says I have 2871 songs on it.

What could the problem be?

maybe you hav changed the location of 1 of your songs...you will see a '!' mark beside the songs that are on your itunes but have no file location. eg you mite of moved a song from 1 folder to another.. so itunes does not have any file location for the particular song....Otherwise Im sorry if this does not help.
