As far as I can tell they are the same thing. I did some digging on Shure's site and some other places that sell them. It looks like the C version just has a different package and maybe a newer replacement but identical in function and features to the e2.

Update...
Ok. This was bugging me, so I called Shure customer support and asked them and here is what I was told...

The E2 and E2c are identical. Same exact product. The difference is that the "c" stands for their "consumer" division, and as I figured above, the packaging is different. The pricing is also different in some places, so avoid anywhere that wants more for them since they are exactly the same product.

FYI, the E2Cs are on sale at Amazon right now for $70 USD. And I found them elsewhere on the net for about that much.

So amazon just put the "high energy" just to trick us into paying extra money?

Actually no, the two models are actually priced differently because one is aimed at consumers and one is aimed at audio pros as monitors. The guy at Shure told me that they created the consumer line and it has a lower price point as a result but its literally identical product.

So if you buy Shure products, always look for the "C" ones!

Yeah, look for the C!!! I got mine for 61usd at discountearphones.com, and now I think they're up at 65usd. If your gonna get them check out that site as well as earphonesolutions.com, both have great prices.
