song names not appearin!!

wen i put a cd into the computer to inport into my i-tunes the song names do not appear meaning i have to type them in myself. i have broadband so am always connected to the internet so tht is not the problem, any ideas?? :cool:

is it a mix cd? meaning did you burn it with more than 1 artist? then you're hosed and have to type them all in, if not you can put the cd in and go to advanced>get CD track names.

try that and if it doesnt work, im sorry

Same problem with me. What you suggested wildfyre doesn't work and it says:"Songs not in our database.":(

yeh i get same problem. i dont even think mine looks in a database, just coems up track 1, track 2 etc. is really annoying because my friend just has 2 put a cd in and the names automatically appear. i put the same cd in mine and i got to type in the names. any1 know why??

you probably don't have the settings setup correctly to acces the database. you oughta try using CDEx or Exact Audio Copy and see if either of those work. They use a free public database.

make sure your online for starters and try the get cd track names. hey - it might not even be in the CDDB database.

so you can type in the info, and you submit track info using advanced>sumbit track names

that way if someone else trys the cd, it works for them

I've been having the same problem but have concluded that it is probably a firewall issue, as it is from a computer at work.
