hiya

i found a thread on these forums that would get rid the the volume restriction.

to which i downloaded etc etc (never run the program or anything, had just saved it to my desktop, have all the usual a/virus)

would post the link but as a newbie unable to do so

then my girlfriends super stable pc CRASHED !! BIG TIME

Have to to reinstall XP etc etc

any thoughts??

Ippod's have there volume restricted for various health and safety reasons, but you are able to remove this with the aid of a small piece of software, which is what was was trying to do, but pc crashed

I... see... er, the US ones don't have that restriction, but I can see why it'd be a good idea. Good ol' European and Australian safety laws, eh? You could buy an iPod from the US and have it shipped...
