I'm amazed at how much you guys know about earphones!

Seeing other posts, I wonder if people can recommed good over ear (the sort that sort of clip around the ear) as in-ear type ones fall out - I must have bat-ears.

I guess they need to have 32ohm impedance and, I think, people recommend sensitivty of at least 100dB.

Depending on sensitivity you can use phones with higher impedance than 32. The Koss 60 ohm impedance phones gnerally sound great (avoid their others, yuck) The Koss KSC-75 and 35 are popular clip on phones. The KSC-55 is a behind the ehad with the same driver. Fun, inexpensive phones. Likely the best bargain around.

The KSC's are quite difficult to find in the UK. Although Koss will ship worldwide. The Koss's will be the only earclips really worth getting.

If you're willing to look at headphones and were more specific, like how portable, whether you need attenuation of outside noise, budget... I'll be able to make some recommendations.

Personally, I use the Sennheiser PX200 (£30, 32 ohms) which are cheap, ingeniously folding, closed and therefore there's a bit of noise blocking.
I also use the Sennheser HD25-1 (£130, 70 ohms) which are probably THE iPod portable full-size phones. Punchy, clear, compact, works very well with the iPod (and gets around the infamous bass falloff).
Last but not least, I also use the Sony Qualia 010 (£1,800, 70 ohms) in hotel rooms and intercity trains where I don't need so much noise blocking. Peerless accuracy but genre-dependent to a degree.

Seem like good choices. Not sure about the £1,800 ones though!
