Dock Adapter for firewire cable?

I was wondering if there is an adapter you can buy for the old gen1 and gen2 firewire cables to be used with the new dock connectors. I have an extra firewire cable in my house that I used to use for my old 20 GB iPod (I have a 15 GB now), but if there is an adapter out there in the market it'd be great to use this extra cable for travel, work, etc. Cheers!

I believe it would be cheaper for you to just get the $19 cable. I don't know, thats just what I think.
