I have recently recieved my new iPod (the color one) and the earbuds that come with the iPod stink. Also I have been hearing a big fuss on the news about people getting mugged in New York for their iPod. And the main way theives can tell its an iPod is because of the earbuds.

I want earbuds (not in-ear because those attract lots of wax), full size headphones, and behind the head headphones.

I am looking for great quality sound, decent bass, and comfortable earbuds/headphones/behind the ear headphones which can be worn for hours at a time.

Earbuds for everyday use with my iPod and I want these to be really good because they are going to be used the most.

Behind the Ear headphones also for everyday use just to add a bit of combination instead of wearing earbuds everyday. These should also be extremly good because these will be used the 2nd most.

And full size headphones for use at home which have extremely great sound quality, great bass, and great comfort.

EVERYONE'S COMMENTS ARE EXTREMELY APPRECIATED
MY BUDGET FOR EARBUDS ARE 20-100$ BEHIND THE EAR HEADPHONES 20-65$ AND FULL SIZE HEADPHONES 20-130$

Go with the koss ksc75's. Theres been so much praise about them over at head-fi. Plus they're at a cheap price. It seems you can't go wrong with those.

I may be missing some of the jargon used here... what's the term for 'phones that clip onto each ear WITHOUT a headband--and also WITHOUT going inside your ear.

I have a friend looking for that kind, and I'm thinking some of the recommendations above might work.

Price is a factor, so those Koss ones seem promising. What's the right term for that style? (I thought "earbuds" meant in-ear, but maybe other kinds are called earbuds too?)

TIA

I was pleased that these headphones which are audiophiles concerned. They are great for Classical! Very few cans can pull off the depth and grunt of a Concert Grand properly, but I feel that these e888 do a pretty convincing job.
