ive heard a lot about pros and cons of sennheiser mx series earbuds, and i was wondering if anyone can tell me if the mx 350 earbuds are anygood?? i know that most ppl go on about the 500/550 but the 350 has a straight jack, instead of an L-shape, and im getting an ipod shuffle, and with the headphone socket being on the top i don't want to be putting tension on the shuffle's socket, or the headphone wiring (i've had many portable players in the past and i find that they always end up going this way!!!

any help on the following would be good:
-experiences with sennheiser ear buds
-durability
-any other comments

i'd just like to say that i have a sennheiesr px100 set of headphones, and have been using them for a year and they are probably the best set of headphones i have ever used.

any helps would be great

Given the light weight of the shuffle, it shouldn't matter whether the headphone jack is straight or L-shaped. If the cord is dangling off the Shuffle, the tension on the jack will be the same.

true. that isnt exactly what i meant. more through wrapping the cable around or various other things. partly for aesthetics.

also looking on the sennheiser website there is no decernable difference between the 300/350 or 400/450 or 500/550 except perhaps that one may be L-jacked and the other straight? this is just a guess, if anyone could clarify that would be great!!

i just got the mx550 a few days ago. It's a straight jack and the cord is perfect length so u can put in your pocket.

Quality so far, i like it. Its somewhat better than the pack-ins. I basically got this b/c i was starting to get tired of the sony ex-71's and i wanted something i could listen to at the gym and during work.

I dont know if i've helped but i just wanted to at least let ya know that for sure the mx550 is straight-jacked.

Erm.....hope i am not too late. I own the MX 500 and 350. I think you will be better off with the mx500. The 350 sounds like a tin can, even with the foambuds. :o There is a white version of the mx500 with a straight jacket. ;)
