Hey guys. Just wondering what the best way to organize and clean my mp3s would be. I got a pretty large collection.

Do you think I should just make it clean with the tags containing only artists and title, or should I try to get albums for them?

Also, what would be a good way to clean a large amout (800) mp3s. I try to download the best ones, but sometimes i get little blurps in the song or something, and rather than finding out that they have them while listening to a song, i'd rather just be able to mass clean them.

THanx in advance.

I've just started my mission to complete my album tag for my collection, - I reckon I have about 1200 to go.

i'm using this program called ID3-TagIt 3. OMG! i haven't used anything else really but this program lets you modify whole groups of files at once. if you have albums in correct track order you can lookup the files on FreeDB and get all the correct tag info and it will even rename the files according to specs set in the tags. great program. i've redone about 1300 of my mp3's with it (all albums).

one of the problems i had was all my albums were tagged correctly, but for some reason the "title" tag was the same as the filename: <track> - <artist> - <title> and this program lets you parse the info from the file name. pretty nice really, and free!
