I've had the Shure E5c's for about 6 months now (love em!) and I use the smallest of the dark grey rubbery in ear thinges (that must be the technical term for them). Anyways lately they keep staying in my ear when I take the ear phones out... thankfully they aren't stuck in there (although that topic about the tweesers recently was funny) they easily come out, but still I wonder if this is a common thing?
Do they need replacing after a while or am I probably doing something wrong to get em like this?
Thanks!

Oh, no one else has had this problem?

Well it seems like you're getting a very good seal with your current sleeve. You might want to try foam to avoid the problem of it being stuck to your ears. It happened to me with my super.fi but it's really no biggie. Yes it is a common thing, and you wouldn't worry about it too much.

They need replacing after a while, yes. The elastomer very slowly absorbs moisture and after a while it will become less 'springy', so will show a tendency to slip off the ear tube.
For basic hygiene reasons I've always replaced my tips well before this starts happening. 6 months on a single set of flex tips? Yuuuurgh!!

Thanks! Yeah I tried every sleeve that came with them and found these to fit the best (although I'll be staying in America for a while soon, perhaps I'll go for one of those custom fit things). I'll give the foam another go.
Thinking more about it... it's only since I've been here in Hong Kong that I've had the problem. Perhaps it's the weather, being very humid or something.
Ok yeah, if I don't get the custom ones done soon I'll get a replacement set of these. Good point about the hyginene.
