how can i tell if my E2C's are still under warranty?

my e2c's are getting a crackling noise at the plug joint.

the letters "K4" are painted there.

any clues as to what this means?

of course, i cannot locate my receipt, natch

just email shure about it. see what they say? as for my case they did not ask for any prove of purchase, they just send me a replacement parts for my shure e4c

look on the 3 digit on your plug (L plug) mine are 244 = weeks 24th of 2004
