If you are worried about your click wheel getting sratched. This is for you, you take a plastic covering from a baseball card and cut in half and modify it you you case it worked perfect for me i have a Agent 18 case for my ipod mini.

I was looking for somthing like this, but I am not quite sure if I understand. Do you mean the plastic covers for baseball cards that go in binders, or some other kind of cover? Does the clickwheel still work in it?

aweber, I use the same thing to protect the screen of my iPod.

You just cut a piece out of the plastic cover (baseball card covers or clear covers for documents) and put it under the skin or case of your iPod. Works like a charm and does not attract lint as skin covers do.
I hadn't thought of putting it over the click wheel as I was more concerned about the display.

Hmmm, very interesting idea aweber2! I will definatly give that a try! :)

I also might try the screen-protection 'version' of it too.

Hey I did that kinda... I left the wheel protector that came with the iPod mini and put a skin over it! and also I put a clear plastic thing that usually wraps toys and taped it under my case for screen protection... can't even tell either one was there! Give it a try.

This winter while skiing I realized that the iPod Mini touch wheel is still sensitive THROUGH Gore-Tex XCR (it's an Outdoor Reasearch jacket to be specific). I have a pocket that sits right on the outside layer of my shell. My iPod fits right in there, and i am able to adjust volume through the jacket. this means its' possible to make a completely sealed case.

on a side note, this enabled me to essentially not have to take the iPod out to hit stop, play, FR, RV, and volume. very nice when in feet of powder and it's stll dumping snow. ipod stays dry and a balmy ~50 degrees too.

so the point is, find some XCR.... make a totally weather proof case in which you still have control of all the functions.
