There are too many Newb questions on this forum. If you are NOT a newb or DON'T have a question, post somethings that you love about your iPod or interesting tales about when you've used it or stories about library updates gone wrong.

**NO NEWB QUESTIONS ALLOWED**

I've only had my iPod mini for a month or so and have no interested tales or stories about library updates. Actually, I do.....

I used to have a crappy PC. One of those generic-brand computers that should be used to teach kids how to read and not for internet access. Well, anyway, I had my Pod plugged in and transfered some music from my pod to my comp via CopyPod (really easy PC port of Senuti). When that was done I started a burn of that music to a CD via iTunes (PC vers mind you). I walked away to turn on my gamecube and play some NFS:Underground while it was burning. About a half hour later or so, I went back to my com-poo-ter to check on the cd. What I found was horrible. The disc ejected, which means it was done burning (good), my iPod screen was blank (bad because it was "disconnected or ejected" correctly/safely), my computer screen was black/off (good because I hated the computer and had spent the previous weeks researching about macs and their rich, creamy goodness). Well, I unplugged my iPod from the computer and turned it on to see if I had lost all my music. I had NOT. Good. I checked the disc and it was finished burning. Good. I tried to turn on my computer. It didn't turn on. Good. I did some extra checks to make sure it wouldn't turn on. Mainly because if it didn't work, I'd get a new computer. This time a trusty iMac G5. It's nice by the way. Well, I spent about a week before I got my new computer and currently my piece-of-com-poo-s**t is in the garbage. I have had no problems at all on my iMac yet as I've had it for just under a week. But those few moments when the screens were blank, my heart was a'pounding.

Your turn....

There are too many Newb questions on this forum.

This forum is here so that people with iPod problems can get help to resolve their issues and well as a place for people with iPods to have a community where they can discussion iPods & related subjects.

There is a section specifically for iPod stories and word masking is not allowed "s**t" per the Forum Policy. (http://forums.ipodlounge.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7588)

Perhaps you should 'RAISE' your Post-count before you go around makeing such 'comments'. To my Eyes you're not much better then a 'noob' either...

My personal opinion about it? If the Person(s) in question are indeed 'noobs' then they should be left alone. If sombody wishes to give 'em an answer, then fine. If not then your welcome to read the next Thread. Those who been here a bit longer should politely be reminded to try the Search Button. To get some answers to there questions. The last thing someone needs is some Jerk(s) snipeing at each other about the Spelling of iPod - ipod or Ipod. When all that person wishes to know if or how they can work there existing Content onto there iPod.

I do not know how big a following the Lounge has. But as a fellow iPoder I have hardly ever gone to anyother Site (save perhaps ipodhacker(s).com),. And eventualy felt the time to leave it after the Free ipod Spamers took it over. I have yet to even think about the Apple.com Fourms. Why bother when theres the Lounge? And it's that kind of popularity + the iPod that drives People to come here to exchange information and ideas. No one here probably pretends that there arn't jerks here and most of the time some of us become jerks ourselvs. That's what makes this place so lively because your basicly aloud to be who you are here. So long as you are willing to respect other People they will inturn respect you.

Perhaps you should reflect on that for a moment or two.... noob

Well said Audrey. When someone with two posts comes along and says this, you really just can't take it seriously.

Thank you. Sometimes people just need to be reminded that such forums are a place where owners of iPods can come for help when they need it and some only come when they are having problems they can't solve themselves. We all need a little help sometimes and especially when your new to something.

stop talking about newb question when you have 2 posts.

you have neither the authority or senority to boss anyone around so please, do us all a favor and dont try.

if you think that there are too many newb questions go to a different ipod forum. if your going to act like this, we do not want you here.

no offense intended.

edit : looking at your signature, it is "musicaly inept"
let me remind you what inept means, "Displaying a lack of judgment, sense, or reason; foolish: an inept remark"

so you have a musical lack of judgment?

dont call other noobs.

edit2 : w00t beneyre and i got our ipods on the same day, lmfao
