Not Charging!

My ipod shuffle is currently on "red" battery, and needs charging, yet when i plug it into my USB drive it isnt being registered, so wont charge. The USB drive is perfectly fine, as the ipod has always worked up until now, and ive also tried my mates in the same drive and there is no problem at all. Any suggestions as to why its not being recognised??!

sorry, ive posted this in the wrong section! meant to write it in the ipod shuffle forum! If a moderator could remove it that would be great!!

Perhaps that perticular USBx.x Port is not Powerd, try a different Port or Computer. And see if your problem reamains...

ive tried another shuffle in the same port, and that get recognised fine, so its not the USB thats the problem, its the ipod!! Any other suggestions?

Yes I would have thought as much. But I thought the problem was getting a charge out of your USBx.x and not having it simply recognised . It's qute possible to use such a Device on a your USBx.x but, it dosn't mean that it's going to be powerd though. Thuss the 'Canned Response' is to try useing the USBx.x Ports on the rear as those should be powerd.
