What do I do now?

Okay,

I tunes stopped recognizing my mini. My AirClick remote stopped working the iPod. The iPod plays music, but does not interface with the computer. So I downloaded iPod updater to try and reset the iPod. Even that program does not recognize the iPod.

What do I do now?

Press the center button and the menu button together until the iPod resets itself. This will, as I understand it, wipe everything out, but it should bring the iPod back to life.

Not everything! Just a few settings, nothing essential.

I was able to update, restore, and download all my music back in.
Now my Air Click remote works again.
