All the music in the Library in Itunes on my winXP machine is gone. When I look in the folder where its stored, all the music is there.
I'm not sure what happened, but it appears my iTunes Music Library.xml file is corrupted.
The problem is that I have a lot of songs from cd's that were burned by different DJs I've met through the years, and a lot of the cd's did not have the title, artist, or track names embedded. I had to spend many hours manually entering this information into Itunes.
My Ipod Mini still has all of this information. When I connected it to the computer and opened Itunes, while my Library is blank the Ipod still shows all of the songs correctly categorized with the correct information.
How can I re-import or rebuild the appropriate files in order to get this information from my Ipod back into the Library on Itunes?
Thanks.
