iPod and Network Hard Drive

Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. My daughter tried to ipdate my iPod this morning. Unfortunately the updater recognized my Network Hard Drive instead of my iPod and tried to update it (update failed part way through). Now iTunes thinks my NetHD is an iPod. I disabled my NetHD and was able to run updater on my iPod.

Unfortunately now iTunes will not recognize my iPod. Even with the NetHD disconnected, and my iPod attached, it does not recognize the iPod.

Any way I can reset iTunes without uninstalling and reinstalling it?
