I think that Open Source will become even bigger...
Linux is closing in on the "User friendly" environment and will only get better with newer generations. There is alreadly a market for PCs loaded with Linux, FreeBSD, etc.
I imagine what in the next few years, if the market stays down there could be an Open Source explosion. Forcing commerical software to lower the pricing just to stay competative. MS will be slower to join the trend, opting to provide cheaper "Set-Top" boxes with more features and allow inexperienced users to use the internet and its services.
Thats one possible future...
