using win 98

hey guys i just installed the win 98 driver and it works with my 4g 20gig ipod. but i have a questions. when i eject my ipod the apple sign appears and it seems that my ipod is resetted. is that normal?

lol no... i use XP too. but i got some movies i want to put in the ipod from the win98 comp.
