itunes not working on windows

I recently installed itunes in my compter, I have XP. I converted all my music to AAC format but when I press play nothing happens.

I tried fixing it by making itunes the default player but it didn't make any difference. HELP PLEASE!

Is anything listed in your iTunes library?

I fixed it :D

Itunes wasn't working because I had an error in my hardware and the program was reading it and that's why nothing happened when I pressed play.
