I was recently given a 1975 Mercedes Benz 240D (diesel) from my parents. I have had an ipod since christmas and enjoy it everyday. What i want to know is what would be the best way to play my ipod in the car. The radio is very dead so i will have to buy a new stereo or radio. I would like a recommendation for a cheap but useful stereo also. I dont want to use a tape adapter or an fm transmitter. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
(My ipod is a 20 gig 4th Gen. HP)

Basically going thru the same process myself. Got some good advice from someone else in the forum. He recommended the aiwa cdc-x204 cd receiver. You can pick it up on crutchfield.com for only $80. The cool thing is that this unit has an auxiliary input on the front so that you can just plug your ipod in without any other adapters or fm transmitters. I am gonna try it myself in a couple of weeks, but seems like a good and fairly inexpensive option to me. Hope that helps.
