I know that a simliar topic has been posted, I've read them. None of them answered my specific issue, or any advice they contained didn't work or didn't work correctly.

What I need to do is move my music from my iPod (3rd Gen 10 Gig, if that matters) to iTunes.

I've tried what is suggested on the Apple website.
I've downloaded both iPod agent (it told me to update it from the beta. I couldn't find an update) and Yamipod (It downloaded the music but erased songs with duplicate names, which I don't want to do)

I know i'm going to feel stupid because someone will come up with an easy answer, but i need that answer.

If you can provide a link to a place to download an iPod agent update, that would be awesome.

I have now used sharepod and podutil. Both of them only give me about 100 songs, when i have over 1000 on my iPod. Can anyone explain/allieviate that?

iPod Agent www.ipodsoft.com/software.aspx just download it and use it.

You can see the info in Simple Guide link in my sig. Use the link near the bottom to remove the songs w/o software.

This is what I've done to transfer all my songs from my 20GB color ipod to my laptop running Windows XP Pro.

Open iTunes
File --> Add Folder to Library
Select -your- iPod
Ok

Files should start transferring.

Worked fine!

Now only if I could move my iPod playlists to my laptop?;)
