Itunes 4.8 help

Actually I'm asking for help in two areas,

The problem: One day I noticed that there was a new version of Itunes out (I currently had version 4.7 on win pro service pack 2) SO i downloaded it. I then proceeded and uninstalled 4.7 Now will tryin to install 4.8 I recieve this error" ERROR:-1603 FATAL ERROR DURING INSTALLATION CONSULT WINDOWS INSTALLER HELP (MSI.CHM) OR MSDN FOR MORE INFO"

Can anyone provide me some assistance to fix this issue or where I can find 4.7 for download. I don't have the ipod disc at the momet and would like to get this issue resloved soon.

Hey (again) and welcome to the lounge ;)

For the error message, a quick search on google brings up a forum with a person who had this problem but installing Limewire.

tired it doesn't work out. itunes isn't listed in the list for the windows program to fix.
