I dont know if this belongs here, but i am using windows...
I have just bought a new dell laptop, but allll my itunes songs are on my old desktop.
is there anyway to get the songs from one computer to the other. the desktop doesnt have a burner or anything so i cant make a isk and switch it.
it is however all connected to the same cable modem. is there a way to have a universal folder that both my computers can share?

You can run the Network Setup Wizard built into XP so both computers can see each other and then either copy/move the tracks from the one PC to the other or you can share the directory your music is in and access it from the other computer. If you do the latter, I suggest you map the drive to some drive letter. If it were me, I would either copy the tracks over or go out and buy an external hard drive that can be networked. Maxtor makes a 200GB one for $300.

well im not looking to go buy a new hard drive. i just wanna take the music i have on itunes to my new computer. someone said i can use usb transfer cables, but im looking to spend little to no money. sending each song via AIM is what i was doing last nite, and at one song a minute it would take me all day long.

If you have an iPod you can just copy your music off there using "iPod Agent" (www.podsoft.com)
